What happens when a family of failures gathers in a windswept, English countryside estate to wrangle over a wealthy inheritance? It's usually murder, as any fan of Agatha Christie, G.K. Chesterton, Ngaoi Marsh, Dorothy Sayers, et al, can tell you.
But here comes the twist, my dear Watson: It Could Be Any One of Us is the playwright Alan Ayckbourn's fond parody of the thriller genre.
Critics have called the play "a chuckling demonstration of the joy that comes from assured, masterly skill," and "a gently mischievous delight." It was first performed in Scarbrough in Britain in 1983 and then rewritten and revived in 1996.
Our cast includes Brad Davidson, Stephen Connell, Dennis Edwards, Hillary Patingre, Marge Uhlarik-Boller and Amanda Zaeske, directed by Bernie Weiler. |
